We have rescued many Coolies from pounds and they have been lucky enough to find great new forever homes. Dogs are released from the pound and fostered by experienced dog owners, this enables accurate assessment of the temperament and gauges what type of home they are suitable for.

All rescues are desexed, vaccinated and chipped, No exceptions are made. If you require a Coolie undesexed we can refer you to breeder members of the International German Coolie Society & Registry.

We do charge a fee for our rescues.The fee goes towards the costs associated with the rescue, transport and vet work and ensures the next Coolie or cross that comes along is able to be rescued.

We believe it also shows a commitment as free to good home dogs are often moved on and are often the ones who end up in rescue or the pound. We work with pounds and other rescues Australia wide.

We only recommend dogs that meet our high standards with excellent temperaments and robust health at the time of adoption.Dogs that we would be comfortable having in our own homes.

Potential adopters must be comited to giving the dog a good home and to be able to provide the dog with all the requirements to ensure it is  happy healthy and  well adjusted.

Please Note:There is no profit associated with German Coolie Rescue. All expenses are covered by members of German Coolie Rescue and other lovers of the breed. We willingly work with other rescues and pounds and adhere to the regulations of the companion animal act in NSW.
